Jesus - big Brother like none other

Those of us middle-borns / last-borns have a vague childhood recollection of an older sibling at one time or the other taking the fall for our own misdeeds. The exchange that happened at the Cross at Calvary is a more extensive, scaled up picture of what it looks like when someone else pays the price for our own fault.

8 Exchanges That Happened on the Cross

1. Jesus was punished, that we may be forgiven (Isaiah 53:4-5)

2. Jesus was wounded, that we may be healed (Isaiah 53:4-5)

3. Jesus was made sin with our sinfulness, that we may be made righteous with His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21)

4. Jesus tasted death for us, that we may share His life (John 10:10, Hebrews 2:9)

5. Jesus was made a curse for us, that we may receive a blessing (Galatians 3:13-14)

6. Jesus endured our poverty, that we may share His abundance (2 Corinthians 8:9)

7. Jesus endured our shame, that we might share His glory (Hebrews 2:10)

8. Jesus endured our rejection, that we might have His acceptance (Ephesians 1:3-6 )
