"In His light, we see light"
This passage reminds me of the generously merciful nature of God.
We come to Him through His Son Jesus Christ, and He opens up streams of unspeakable goodness to us. Blessings we could never have worked for or earned.
He blows our minds with His unmatched benefits. He creates unending access for us to His favor, His mercies, His peace, His salvation, His protection, the list is endless.
The final part (“in His light we see light”) is a reminder. There’s no light outside of Him. If you are looking for a way out of darkness, don’t track down light sources. Look to God.
In our world today there’s a multitude of voices promising enlightenment: knowledge, power, wisdom, and insights. But God is the only true source of all of this. Let’s remember to keep our gaze on Him and nothing else.
Prayer Point:
Heavenly Father, your Word says “In Your light we shall see light”.
I look to You for light. I thank You for the illumination that You are sending my way, light that shines bright and cuts through every shade of darkness existing in my life and in my environment.
I will wait alone on You for light, remove from me any and every desire for light from other sources.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
